About these routes

Tried and tested routes

These routes follow the scheduled trips of Togean Safari Cruise, which sails the islands on wooden phinisi and puts its guests up ashore each night. They show how many days each island needs and where the crossings fall.

Each route can be booked as it is, with stays, meals and transfers included, or used as a starting point for planning on your own.

Planning

Planning notes

  • At least two nights per island

Each move between islands is a boat crossing. Staying two nights or more allows a full day in each place.

  • Spare day

Weather and schedules can change. Do not book an onward flight on the day you leave the islands.

  • Cash

Withdraw enough in Luwuk or Ampana for accommodation, boats and park fees for the whole stay.

  • Transfers

Travelling on your own, ask each accommodation to arrange the transfer to the next island.
