Cruises and Boat Trips

A cruise is the other way to see the Togeans: several days on a boat between the islands, with the nights ashore, the meals and the transfers arranged by one operator. Travelling independently means booking places to stay and boats separately instead, which Where to Stay and Getting There and Boat Tickets cover.

Each cruise below lists its length, its route, the boat, the price per person and what the price includes. Dates, availability and current prices are on the operator's page for each trip.

The shortest of the four, on the usual route: Pulau Puah and Malenge, the Walea islands and Pulau Papan, Jellyfish Lake, two nights on Bomba and one on Kadidiri, then back to Luwuk by way of Piala Waterfall. Divers can add two dives on most days, and a first dive can be arranged for beginners.

Nights are spent ashore: a hotel in Luwuk at each end, and guesthouses and resorts on the islands. The price includes the rooms, three meals a day on the islands, drinking water, coffee and tea on the boat, the airport transfer, and snorkelling gear and paddleboards. Flights, diving, snacks, soft drinks, alcohol and tips are extra.
